Here we are folks, the last prompt of this first series of #anempowered2019 it's been so enjoyable i'm already plotting more for later in the year. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This really is a magic question, one i use frequently and have been for years. It enables us to sweep past all those potential limiting beliefs, misconceptions of our circumstances and get right to the heart of what really matters to us.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So if you could wave a magic wand and have anything, anything at all happen this year, what would it be? and the scope doesn't have to be confined to your work. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

What do I love about my work? My thoughts on today's #anempowered2019 prompt.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When I ponder this question it doesn't just take me to the every day doings of my work, although they are inspiring and enjoyable, it also connects me deeply to my raison d'etre. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I believe our best work (whether we are paid for it or not) is one that connects us deeply to our purpose.
That connection provides us with our north star, our tailwind and, when we need it, our safe harbour. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I love my work not only because of what it enables for me in the connections with inspiring people and personal growth, and what it provides for us as a family in financial abundance but also what doing it on my own terms makes possible.
Throwing out the rule book and crafting a life and work according to what is most important to us as a family, enables me to spend more precious time with these scrumptious humans and their papa. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It is also deeply reassuring at my core to know why am here in this moment, and that in small ways I can be of service.
The hope, resilience and affirmation that my work offers me in that regard is worthy of love indeed.

Day 9 of #anempowered2019 and this may seem like a superficial reflection on first glance but for me this is such a deep theme of empowered entrepreneurship and one that is worthy of some probing.

Our love for our work and our passion can be a powerful sustaining force.
It can help keep us in perspective and remind us of what's important in those times when we feel stuck or are loosing our mojo. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It also reminds us that if we have work or, better still, are able to choose the work we pursue, we are incredibly fortunate as there are so many who don't enjoy this privilege. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Day 8 of #anempowered2019 and our focus is on message and story and what we want our audience to know.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is a topic i'm hugely passionate about. You have a unique story to tell and a truly individual voice with which to share it. Once you understand the subtleties of that message and how to wield your voice with flair and grace, flexibility and impact you can begin the work of influencing hearts and minds and making sustainable change in whatever way is important to you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Your messages can be woven through the fabric of all that you do from your branding to what you literally say to your clients and everything in between. In written, spoken and visual form your message is absolutely pivotal to the impact you make.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For me there are layers of message and story that travel through all of my work and i'm constantly evolving it, sharing different aspects at different times to different people in different ways. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As an Empowered Entrepreneur in this moment I want you to know:
That you already have choice and influence and impact without having to change who you are or conform to someone else's ideal.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I want you to know, that your voice matters and what you have to say will make a difference for the good of who you serve.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I want you to know that you have everything you need within you to make the right choices for your life and your work.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I want you to know that you can be moved by the energy of inspiration in your work rather than the energy of striving or fear or lack and that inspiration is what moves you forward in line with your greater purpose. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I want you to know how valuable you are and to put that value to good use in serving the world. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I want you to know that you are enough, just as you are and if you are waiting until everything is perfect before you can show up and do your best work or put your message out you are likely robbing the world of a great gift.

When you are crystal clear about what you stand for, the change you seek to make and your unique mission in the world the next logical step is to start making some noise about it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Whether that's tentatively or boldly, we all need to get used to flexing those vocal muscles and articulating the messages that matter.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

There is a story that only you can tell, a message you alone are best placed to share, shaped by your experiences and your unique perspective. Your work is a powerful vehicle for that message and the more you use your voice, the more able you are to refine that narrative and the more impact you have. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

What does the world need to know from you? What lies at the heart of your message this year? Are you taking a stand for or against something? How is that shaping your offerings and the way you do business? What wisdom are you ready to share with your clients and the wider world?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Today's #anempowered2019 prompt is to do with boundaries and our boundary around time is such an important one. ⠀
How you value your own time and that of other people really shapes your business and your sense of empowerment.⠀
⠀
It's a big theme in our house at the moment as our rhythm has changed recently with Mr C going down to part time with his work and me having extra hours to do mine. ⠀
⠀
It's meant we've had to get into a new groove. We're not quite there yet, we've only had a week so far, but what I do know is that in finding a way forward that is going to work it's vital to keep lines of communication open. To come to agreements with clearly defined boundaries rather than making assumptions. ⠀
⠀
Something that is helping greatly is that we are both taking an attitude of experimentation. Of trying something, feeling our way and seeing if it works and then being prepared to change and flex if it doesn't. ⠀
⠀
We have drawn clear boundaries and agreed on the non-negotiables and are playing with the rest. We are also always keeping the bigger picture in mind, why we are doing all this in the first place and what is most important in the grand scheme of things. That really helps, that and the fact that my dear husband is a highly evolved, patient and loving soul and doesn't throw his toys out of the pram nearly as much as I might do. Things are looking promising.⠀
